Thoreau Way Ensemble Concert to Benefit the NRDC

Launched by violinist and Sudbury resident Nicki Payne and colleagues Liana Zaretsky, violin, Emily Rome, viola, and Rebecca Thornblade, cello, the Thoreau Way Ensemble is a group of professional musicians dedicated to social justice causes and the preservation of our democracy. Each concert features a national or local organization dedicated to social justice efforts.

This Groton event, featuring the music of Dvorak, Martinu and Haydn, with special guest Shawn McCann on piano, is a fundraiser for the Natural Resource Defense Council, an organization whose research has helped our environmental subcommittee work on anti-regulatory legislation.
